RE: Full body paint vs Wrap?

I wonder if wrapping with a camo theme would be dangerous driving down the road?

RE: Full body paint vs Wrap?

A friend of mine had an old southwind painted. A really outstanding job; not really fancy, but nice. It was $12,000. Maybe the wrap is the way to keep my (soon to be aged) MH looking good forever!

RE: Rear Tail lights and running lights not working

I had a similar problem, the spring inside the tail light socket was turned slightly shorting out the socket resulting in a blown fuse whenever I turned on the lights. Reset the bulb in the socket and all is well.Oooo. Gotta try that tomorrow!

RE: Full body paint vs Wrap?

I saw a brand new 2007 Revolution get wrapped and in the process blocked or limited the airflow around the refer unit. The first time they turned it on overnight to cool for a trip the next day.....huge fire and nothing left but a warped chassis and a pile of ash. Pretty much would eliminate the wrap idea for me......Sounds like someone didn't think it through. Air holes/vents still need to be open for business. Still, a tragic loss.

RE: Rear Tail lights and running lights not working

We have a 2002 Winnie Brave and for some reason our rear tail lights and running lights are not working.. although the headlights, brake lights, blinkers, caution light and backup lights work fine. We have gone thru the fuses...still not working. Any one have any ideas? TIA! TessaI am having a similar problem with my red tail lights. Something keeps blowing my fuse for the two big lights. Other lights work fine. I asked about this at a Workhorse place and they said problems with the rear lights are almost always a result of the towed wiring. I now know that the symptom of the problem is the blown 10 amp fuse to those two lights. I plan to do some trouble shooting this weekend. Something nails the fuse rather quickly as I replace the fuse, take a half hour drive without the towed, and the fuse is toast. Gonna get some extra fuses this weekend and do some checking.

RE: Where To Buy A Class A?

Pick up a copy of your local "RV Trader" to look and used prices. Many dealers also advertize in those mags. You can find these at convenience stores.

RE: Clothes Dyer

Some campgrounds prohibit putting out clothes lines for drying. They may tolerate towels hanging out if there is a lake or pool nearby, but otherwise, I think you are at risk.

RE: farting water pump?

To check for water leaks, stomp around the rig's plbg in bare feet covered by cheapo stockings. You will quickly find your leak. On my Allegro a few years ago, it was the joint between the tank and the first plbg fixture, which was under the bed, and amost impossible to find otherwise.Sorry to ask: What's a "plbg"? :?

RE: farting water pump?

And, this is different than your ..... ? :@ I"ve seen talk on the board here about this happening with pumps that have a leak into their diaphragm. Maybe search on that. I don't know about the spell correction, tho.

RE: What to look for in buying used 2005 Bounder 35E

I've got the next year's version of your MH. The CCC of your MH should be posted in the MH. Mine is in the wardrobe closet in the bedroom (the double closet). However, it could be posted somewhere else in the MH like in a cabinet. What to look for? See if you can figure out why somebody only put 3,500 miles on it in 4 years. It's a detective game. Make sure everything works. Turn every thing on (maybe not all at once). Make sure your levelers work. After leveling, put your slides in and out several times (be sure and follow the posted instructions over the slide switches). Look for stains in the ceiling of the main MH and the slides. This could be a detailed, long list. Just start at the front and work your way back. Don't forget to check the plumbing and tanks. Here's a pretty nice checklist. Here is the CCC for my MH. The thing to remember is that there was a design change between 2005 and 2006 - bigger tires, taller walls, at least.

RE: Fleetwood Discovery 40G

I'm on my second Fleetwood RV. I would definitely buy another Fleetwood. In fact, I am constantly looking at Discoverys and Revolution LEs.

RE: They want to Buy my campsite!?!?

I would stay just to spoil all their fun. Why would you want to spoil someones camping weekend?Yeah. Why be a PITA ? :M If you're going to stay, STAY. If you are going to go, GO. Why be nasty about a basic question from folks who just want to get on a nice site?

RE: How Many nights or weekends............

I'm not retired, or I'd have more days than this: 2006 40 nights, 2007 46 nights, 2008 51 nights. (I do keep a log so to track costs.) It's mostly weekends with a couple 5 - 7 day trips thrown in as holiday weekends provide opportunites. I did 51 days in 10 months this year, so I'm taking two months off to reacquaint myself with chores around the house and accumulate some more vacation time.

RE: Class A towing 07 Denali AWD

Not sure if this will help, but my 03 Denali XL's manual says NO WAY. Don't tow with any wheels on the ground, it says. Another consideration is the GCWR and the hitch rating on your MH. The Denali is about 6,000#. So, I have my very old Explorer (with Remco drive shaft disconnect) to tow.

RE: Sick Backup Monitor for RV ??

You can get an idea of replacement monitors available at http://rvcams.com/. See what they've got for you; it's at least a learning experience.

RE: Bedroom TV has bad picture

I assume the DVD is not using a modulated RF signal. I would temporarily connect a long coax from the antenna input to switch box using a barrel coupler and to rear TV. This will bypass switch box and permanent cable. If that looks good reconnect antenna to switch box and move temporary cable to rear TV out of switch box to check switch box. If that looks good it is the cable from switch box to rear TV. Check terminations at both ends.Good point. 50 - 100 foot of coax from Home Depot is cheap and is a good test.

RE: Bedroom TV has bad picture

The TV in the bedroom has a bad picture kind of fuzzy. It works fine on DVD but on the satellite and antenna its no good. I have checked connections on the box up front and even took out the TV to check connections.I hope it is something simple. Any ideas from the learned body? Thanks.I have found that the TV signal sent to the back TV is power split to the TV coaxial hookup in the bay under my awning. Nice, actually, but the outside TV and the back TV will always see the same signal. If yours has a splitter like this, that could be your problem -- you lose signal strength to the back TV. This is sometimes a problem for me when I am running off the over the air (batwing) antenna; sometimes with cable. Not a problem with VHS or DVD player or satellite box. It all depends on the strength of the signal being pumped into the switch box. If you use cable input, what's the signal like? Is your sat box near the switch box? Is there any way to boost the signal out of the sat box? You might be able to get a Radio Shack signal booster - be sure of the connectors you have.
